Because together we are stronger
We believe all lives have value. Our programs of support and empowerment provide the tools this vulnerable population needs to live a healthy and productive life at home and within their communities. PAMOJA means TOGETHER in ‘Swahili’ language. This mirrors our spirit of collaboration, which is critical to our mission since the organization is incorporated in Massachusetts but the work is based in Kenya.
We are dedicated to building partnerships with community leaders, local schools, and other stakeholders invested in care and well being of people to support, nurture, and empower those we serve.

Annual Report
The Year in Review: 2019-2020
The year 2020 was challenging for many Kenyan Families. Although the country was spared the worst of the COVID-19 infections, millions of people lost their livelihoods due to lockdowns enacted to contain the virus. This has pushed many vulnerable and impoverished individuals and families further into poverty and despair. WITH YOUR HELP & SUPPORT……We fed hundreds of families, distributed hundreds of backpacks with school supplies, supported secondary school kids with tuition and fees, and equipped the youth and women with skills and means to earn a living.

Pamoja operates on a very lean budget. Currently, our 4 member staff is comprised of volunteers. We also rely on volunteer support from local parents, school heads, teachers, and community members derived from Gakurwe village and Kayole-Kamulu slums in Kenya where our programs are located. 95% of your donations are used for the programs.
